It is the foremost international meeting on seaweed research and utilization. Scientific research plays a fundamental role in developing seaweed and seaweed products industries. The ISS provides a forum for scientists, technologists, industry and resource managers to present their latest research results and develop new synergies. The Macroalgal Workshop
was held at Industrial Research Ltd in Lower Hutt on Friday 25 November
from 9.15 am to 4.30 pm.
The aims of
the workshop are (a) to bring together people interested in
seaweeds and (b) for various
researchers from around New Zealand to present short reviews of the
seaweed-related projects
they have
undertaken in the last year or so.
